Hang Gliders Don't Collapse — Paragliding's Blind Spots, Seen from the Neighboring Sport
If you mostly fly on weekends, start with Klein's rule for choosing a wing: when you aren't flying much, an easier glider is safer, and you decide when to move up. If you have fewer than a hundred hours, take McClurg's advice and leave the camera in the bag for a while; bring it back once you have the experience to use it for reviewing your launches and landings. Both of them see helmet mounts as a hazard. If you share a site with hang gliders, remember that they turn more slowly but can drop much faster than you, and that both of you leave wake.
